The property was donated to Kewaunee County to be used as an outdoor education center by Paul and Evelyn (Blahnik) Brookhyser in the memory of Wenzel Blahnik.  The property is especially attractive as it unites two of Kewaunee’s greatest physical assets; the Ahnapee State Trail and the Ahnapee River, providing a place for residents and visitors to enjoy nature.  In addition, Mother Nature boasts some of her most magnificent Fall colors along the Ahnapee State Trail.  This park is quickly become a favorite stop off for hikers, bikers fisherman, and horseback riders. The spring and fall salmon and trout spawning runs bring anglers from around the Midwest to this property.
