Krohns Lake County Access

Krohns Lake is a surprising fishery.  Despite the concerns with water quality, the fishery appears to be thriving, especially for panfish. You may catch bluegill, sunfish, black crappie, yellow perch, large-mouth bass and stocked rainbow trout. The lake bottom is soft and mucky, so adhere to the electric motor policy to avoid uprooting plants and stirring up muck. This will protect the fish’s fragile spawning beds from being smothered and keep the fishery productive.  Krohns Lake is 21 acres in size with a maximum depth of 38 feet, average depth of 21 feet.  The Lake is fed by groundwater seeping through the soil and was formed by a piece of melting glacial ice about 10,000 years ago.
