Maternal and Child Health

New Mom Visits:

A Public Health Nurse will offer a home visit to each first-time mom within the County.  During this service, information will be shared on infant care, child development, safety, community resources and nutrition.  A well testing kit will be provided to individuals who have a private well.  Car seat inspections are available.  To schedule a home visit please contact us at 920-388-7160.

Prenatal Care Coordination:

Kewaunee County will offer prenatal consultation to any individual experiencing a high-risk pregnancy.  The nurse will provide information about community resources, access to healthcare, cessation from smoking, as well as teaching on pregnancy, labor and delivery, and infant care.

Pregnancy Testing:

Kewaunee County Public Health Department offers free pregnancy testing, counseling and referral to an appropriate medical provider for any woman within the county.  Please call to schedule an appointment at 920-388-7160.

Teen Parent Services:

Kewaunee County Public Health nurses are available to counsel any pregnant or parenting teen.  Pregnancy information will be provided as well as access information to community resources.  A teen parent program staff member will meet regularly with the teen to help insure the teen receives all necessary health care and successfully completes school.
