 KEWAUNEE LANDFILL

 

The Kewaunee County Solid Waste Department owns and operates a financially self-sufficient landfill that works to protect the health and safety of residents by disposing of solid wastes generated in Kewaunee County in the most efficient, cost effective and environmentally sound manner possible. 

General Waste/Garbage

May not include recyclable plastics, metals, glass or paper products; see Your Municipal Recycling Program for procedures on disposal of these items.

  • Residential/Household -- $36 per ton

  • Business/Commercial -- $28 per ton

  • By the Bag -- $2 each


 

Yard and Garden Waste

No fee

Keep sorted from garbage; yard, garden waste and brush is composted.


 

Tires (with or without rims)

Keep sorted from garbage; tires are shredded and recycled.

  • Cars & Light Trucks -- $2 each

  • Heavy Trucks -- $6 each

  • Tractor -- $10 each


 

Appliances

Keep sorted from garbage; Freon is removed; scrap metal is crushed and recycled.

  • With Freon units -- $20 each

  • Without Freon units -- Per ton cost


 

Metals – all

Per ton cost

Keep sorted from garbage.  All scrap metals are sorted, crushed and recycled.


 

Batteries – vehicle batteries

Per ton cost

Keep sorted from garbage; batteries are recycled.


 

Asbestos products

$38 per ton

Must be double bagged; call ahead for handling instructions.


 

Oil – used engine oil

Per ton cost

Keep sorted from garbage; oil is recycled.


 

Computers & Televisions

Computers are $10 per computer with monitor; computers are then recycled.

Televisions are $15 per set.


 

Fluorescent and Compact Fluorescent light bulbs

38¢ each

Keep our roads clean and safe! 

All loads must be secured by a tarp or enclosed in a vehicle.
