In addition to items recycled through Your Municipal Program, proper disposal of other items ensures a safe environment for generations to come. 
 

Kewaunee Land Fill: Accepts garbage from households and businesses located within Kewaunee County; also accepts appliances, metals not recyclable through municipal programs, computers, waste oil, batteries, asbestos materials, and yard waste for composting. Please see the Kewaunee Land Fill page for more information on hours, location, and what they accept.

 

Hazardous Waste: Hazardous wastes are materials that pose a threat to human health and the environment.  These material are flammable, poisonous, corrosive or reactive and must be disposed of properly.  Please see the page on Hazardous Waste to determine where you should take your materials.  
 

List of Businesses: Various businesses in Kewaunee County accept hazardous wastes, making disposal safe and easy to access from your home or business.  This list is currently being developed and will appear on the Kewaunee Recycles! website soon. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


When milk comes in glass bottles and they are sterilized and used again, that is recycling! An average family buys around 150 glass containers each year and only 10% of them are recycled.
