The County Administrator serves as the Chief Administrative Officer of the County and has the powers and duties as set forth in Wisconsin Statute 59.18.  The County Administrator fulfills the duties, responsibilities and projects as assigned by the Kewaunee County Board of Supervisors.  The County Administrator is responsible for supervising and coordinating the day to day administrative management responsibilities of the County within policy guidelines established by the County Board. Duties of the County Administrator includes general administration of county departments and services. Works with each department head and committee to achieve cost-efficiencies and help address departmental issues. The County Administrator develops and proposes for the County Board consideration, policy initiatives to strengthen county government. The County Administrator compiles and analyzes the county budget and monitors the budget throughout the year and makes necessary recommendations for adjustments.The County Administrator appoints citizen members to numerous boards, committees, and commmissions, subject to County Board approval.

The County Administrator directs the Public Information Officer and Tourism Coordinator of Kewaunee County.  The County Administrator directs the initatives of tourism including development of tourist information, marketing and outreach including social media, videos and initiating media interviews, which promote Kewaunee County. The County Administrator is the Director of Human Resources responsible for compliance with all laws, employment services, employee benefits and insurance, workplace safety, workers compensation, staff training, labor negotiations, employee compensation, employee relations, recruitment and selection, as well as policies and procedures related to Human Resources. The County Administrator is the designated HIPAA Privacy Officer and administers the Civil Rights Compliance Plan/Affirmative Action Plan/Equal Employment Opportunity Program and Equal Opportunity in Service Delivery for the County.
The County Administrator, Public Information Officer/Tourism Coordinator and Human Resources are located within the County Administrator's Office in the Kewaunee County Administration Center.
