The County Clerk’s Office has a set of duties that are established either by State Statutes or by the County Board.

The County Clerk’s Office is involved with: preparation of County Board meeting packets, minutes and agendas; posting of committee packets, minutes and agendas on the County website; federal, state and local elections, training municipal clerks; issuance of marriage licenses; issuance of passports, passport photos; timber cutting permits; distribution of dog licenses; UPS pickup/delivery; mail organization/contact.

The County Clerk’s Office also prepares the County tax apportionment as well as prepares and publishes the County Directory, County Board Proceedings and the Statistical Report of Property Values.
