Medication Drop-Off Guidelines

Don't flush, pour, or trash unused medications.

Pharmaceutical waste may create a risk to public health through accidental poisonings, drug diversion/abuse and drinking water contamination. 

Kewaunee County residents can safely dispose of unused dry medications free of charge by following simple guidelines. 
  • Empty pills into sandwich-sized sealable bag(s)
  • Recycle empty pill bottles and paper boxes
  • Drop off bag(s) of pills at the Kewaunee County Emergency Dispatch & Jail, 620 Juneau Street, Kewaunee.
