Many types of plastic are accepted in your curbside bin, but "plastic bags, wraps and film" are NOT because they twist around and clog the sorting equipment, preventing proper separating of the paper material from the containers.

The plastic bags and film must be cut out of the sorting screens and landfilled because they are too dirty to be recycled.
