Subsidized Guardianship is a permanent placement option for children placed in foster care.
It is a positive option when adoption and reunification are not the best choices.
Eligible caregivers can become the legal guardian and receive a subsidy.
This is only an option after children have progressed through the court ordered child welfare system and Subsidized Guardianship is determined by the Juvenile Court to be the best permanence option for the child.
