Kewaunee County is home to nearly 205 miles of snowmobile trails.
The Kewaunee County Promotions & Recreation Department monitors four sections, which includes use of the Ahnapee State Trail that connects Kewaunee County to Door County, as well as the communities of Algoma, Casco, Kewaunee and Luxemburg and three Kewaunee County owned parks.
Kewaunee County has six snowmobile clubs that check in with the Promotions & Recreation Department to share condition updates.
To use public trails, snowmobilers are required to buy an annual Wisconsin snowmobile Trail Pass through the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR). Trail passes are $10 for Wisconsin residents who are members of a snowmobile club that is affiliated with the Association of Wisconsin Snowmobile Clubs (AWSC), $30 for Wisconsin residents not affiliated with AWSC and $50 for out of state residents.
