Blood Pressure Screening |
Blood Pressure refers to the pressure of the blood in your blood vessels. According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, about 1 of 3 U.S. adults or about 70 million people have high blood pressure. Only about half of these people have their high blood pressure under control. High blood pressure is often called the “silent killer” because it has does not always have warning signs or symptoms.
It is important to check your blood pressure regularly and take steps to prevent and control high blood pressure. The Kewaunee County Health Department offers free blood pressure screenings by appointment.
