Breastfeeding Support
We are excited that you are interested in breastfeeding! Research has shown that there is no better food than breast milk for a baby’s first year of life. Breastfeeding provides many health, nutritional, economic, and emotional benefits for both mother and baby. There are also significant benefits to the community, workplace, and environment.

WIC mothers who choose to breastfeed will be provided with information through one-on-one counseling, along with educational materials to support their healthy decision. Mothers who exclusively breastfeed may receive enhanced food packages and additional support from our Breastfeeding Peer Counselor.
