​Pursuant to the 2007 Wisconsin Act 219 all real estate transfer returns must be filed electronically regardless of the date of conveyance.

Submit an Electronic Transfer Return
  • Read the instructions before completing the transfer return 
  • Save the transfer return before you press submit
  • Print the ERETR receipt 
  • When recording the deed at the Register of Deeds Office the ERETR Receipt will need to accompany the original deed
The Department of Revenue allows the public to search the property tranfer records for all 72 Wisconsin counties.
