Payroll Technician, $22.13 - $23.49 - We are seeking an individual interested in a long-term career within the Finance Department to administer and maintain the payroll operations for Kewaunee County.  This is a full-time position with a starting wage range of $22.13 – $23.49 per hour depending on qualifications and experience in addition to a full benefits package. Highway Commissioner - The Highway Commissioner is responsible for the administrative work, planning and directing the work of the Highway Department. Involves responsibility for the construction and maintenance of all highways, roads, bridges, and public areas. The salary range for this position is $82,742 to $97,115.  Apply by Monday, January 8, 2024.
Winter Park Assistants, $15.00/hour - Kewaunee County is hiring Winter Park Assistants. These are temporary, part-time positions with a wage of $15.00 per hour.  Winter Park Assistants are responsible for carrying out daily operational tasks at the ski & tubing hill facility. Must be available to work part-time, weekends, weekdays & evenings during the winter season. These positions are open until filled.

The County Administrator is the County’s chief administrative officer and carries out the duties and responsibilities set forth in Section 59.18 of the Wisconsin Statutes and will also serve as the County’s Human Resources Director.  The Administrator is appointed by and reports to a twenty-member nonpartisan Board of Supervisors. A $26.5M annual budget (expense) supports approximately 151 full-time equivalent positions. 
 
Immediate priorities for the next County Administrator include recruiting and retaining quality employees in a challenging labor market and maintaining quality services in light of strict statutory levy limits.  A proven track record of success in maintaining positive and productive relationships with other units of government and among elected officials and staff are priorities.
Highway Worker, $21.10/hour - Highway Workers operate trucks and other road construction equipment in a safe, effective manner and have an understanding of occupational hazards, safety precautions and MSHA regulations.  Successful candidates must have knowledge of traffic laws, weight limits and the location of state, county, city, and town roads including twelve months of progressive road construction work experience. A Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is preferred, not required.  Positions are open until filled.
Radio Operator/Jailer, $29.72/hour - This is a combined Radio Operator and Jailer position.  Duties of the Radio Operator/Jailer position include dispatching emergency requests for fire, police and rescue, operating computer equipment and maintaining the general operation of the jail.  These positions are considered open until filled.
Program Assistant, $20.38/hour - The Program Assistant is responsible for assisting in the implementation and administration of health department programming within the Kewaunee County Health Department. Responsibilities may include event coordination, immunization program coordination, creation and maintenance of agency resources, website, and Facebook page; billing, monthly financial submissions, and basic reception / clerical duties. Emergency Management Assistant, $18.60/hour - Under the direction of the Emergency Management Director, this position provides administrative functions and provides the clerical support for the operation of the Emergency Management Department. You will assist in planning and preparation for present and future programs, projects, and goals.  Apply by December 4!
