Kewaunee County Public Health Cancels
Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic
Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic
KEWAUNEE, WI – The Kewaunee County Public Health Department has cancelled the Johnson & Johnson (J&J) COVID-19 vaccine clinic scheduled for Thursday, April 15.
This is a result of an investigation underway of the vaccine following six reported U.S. cases of a rare and severe type of blood clot in individuals after receiving the J&J vaccine according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA).
“Per State guidance that we have received, Kewaunee County Public Health is following the recommendation by the CDC and FDA to pause the use of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine out of caution, therefore we are cancelling our Thursday, April 15 vaccination clinic,” said Cindy Kinnard, RN, Kewaunee County Public Health Department Director. “We have notified the individuals who had registered for this specific vaccination clinic.”
If you have further questions, please feel free to call the Kewaunee County Public Health Department at (920) 388-7160, Monday-Friday from 8AM-4:30PM or your medical provider.
