 Kewaunee County Ranks #117 in the Nation for 2020 Census Self-Response Rate
 
KEWAUNEE COUNTY, WI – Kewaunee County has outpaced the Wisconsin and U.S. average for self-response of the 2020 Census, ranking #117 in the Nation for completion.
 
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Kewaunee County has a 73.8% self-response rate. That’s in comparison to the State rate of 68.7% and National rate of 61.7%.
 
Kewaunee County’s larger communities have the following self-response rates thus far, Algoma 68.2%, Casco 74.3%, Kewaunee 73.1% and Luxemburg 78.5%.
 
“We have to thank the residents of Kewaunee County who have already responded to the 2020 Census. The current self-response rates demonstrate the type of community that we live in, it’s one where residents reinvest,” said Scott Feldt, Kewaunee County Administrator. “Not only does a response to the 2020 Census help with securing federal funds our schools, infrastructure and more, it’s a big part of economic development as this data could bring in new businesses and spur job creation in our area.”
 
There's still time to self-respond to the 2020 Census, via mail, phone by calling 844-330-2020 or online at https://my2020census.gov/. Census workers will begin visiting households for in-person interviewing in August.
