The Aging and Disability Resource Center of the Lakeshore, along with St. John Lutheran Church in Luxemburg, will be offering a workshop for adults who are living with chronic conditions, called “Living Well”.
The workshop will be held at St. John Lutheran Church, in the education room, 700 Heritage Rd., Luxemburg. The series meets each Friday beginning August 19th through September 30th (no class September 2nd), 2022 from 9:30am - Noon. You must be registered to attend.
If you are living with a chronic condition such as diabetes, arthritis, high blood pressure, heart disease, chronic pain, depression or anxiety, or have had a stroke and are dealing with residual effects, the Living Well workshop can help! You’ll get the support you need from others who are traveling the same journey, find practical ways to deal with pain and fatigue, discover new treatment choices, improve nutrition, and learn better ways to talk with your doctor and family about your health.
The Living Well workshop meets for 6 weeks, 2 to 2 ½ hours each session. Attendance at all six sessions is highly recommended, as each class builds upon previously acquired skills. It is designed for adults with ongoing chronic health conditions. During these educational meetings you will gain new skills to manage your health while setting goals for yourself that will improve your health – and your life. This is a workshop about YOU and doing the things YOU want to do. Don’t let your health condition keep you from doing the things you enjoy. This class will allo
w you to feel better, take control of your life and do the things you want to do, even though you are living with a chronic condition.
