Kewaunee County Seeks Public Input on Housing Study
KEWAUNEE, WI – Kewaunee County wants to know how residents and non-residents view housing in the County, as part of an online survey being conducted by Bay-Lake Regional Planning Commission (Bay-Lake RPC).
The 20-question Kewaunee County Housing Survey has a focus on quality and availability. It asks participants about current housing choices in Kewaunee County, if the County needs more housing, and preferred types of housing.
"We want to better understand the overall need for housing in Kewaunee County, and be able to make educated recommendations to the County Board as to what are the next steps we should take,” said Scott Feldt, Kewaunee County Administrator. "For the County's long term financial well-being, we need to be sure that Kewaunee County is a great place to live and work, housing is the most important part of that strategy.”
According to the 2010 U.S. Census, Kewaunee County is home to approximately 20,574 residents with the largest populations in the City of Algoma, City of Kewaunee, and Village of Luxemburg. There are about 5,000 property addresses in the County.
The online Kewaunee County Housing Survey will be open until Monday, September 21st on the Bay-Lake Regional Planning Commission website. All survey responses are anonymous.
